Successfully securing external funding is a core building block of an academic career. But the path from the first idea to an approved proposal is demanding: it takes a clear concept, strategic planning, and the ability to convince reviewers.
In this workshop, participants get to know the key steps in the proposal process – from preparation through writing to review and feedback. A hands-on format combining input, group work, and individual advice lets them develop their own proposal outlines in a targeted way.
The workshop covers the three central steps in the academic proposal process: preparation, submission, and review and feedback. A particular focus is hands-on work on participants' own project ideas – concepts are developed and sharpened through exchange and feedback in small groups. The methods are deliberately independent of any particular funder and therefore transfer across programs.
